I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers. The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) is the largest membership organization of professional social workers in the world.
With 132,000 members. NASW works to enhance the professional growth and development of its members, to create and maintain professional standards, & to advance sound social policies.
I have the privilege of working with Kristi Newhouse, as a Regional Care Coordinator. Kristi is a highly experienced, goal oriented, independent and hard working professional. She’s always ready to put all her energy and stamina towards advocating for her clients. She is well educated and energetic. She works competently in a multidisciplinary team setting to effectively contribute to the achievement of her clients overall well being.
I have worked with Kristi, collaborated with her, and also worked for her. I have known Kristi for 10 years. She is one of the most skilled and professional people I’ve had the pleasure to know in my career. She is very intelligent, organized, committed, and (most of all) passionate in regards to her career. In addition, she is one of my absolute favorite people in the world. Kristi would be a tremendous asset to any organization fortunate enough to meet her.
Sometimes in life, we could all use an outside opinion, a non-judgmental view, a caring and professional outlook… that is what we found in Kristi. She helped not only to see things in a different perspective, but gave us day-to-day tools to use when situations became difficult.
We were truly blessed to have found her. We – both as a couple, and as individuals – would highly recommend Kristi Newhouse.
When I began coming to Kristi over one year ago for couples therapy with my husband, I was reluctant to really commit. I didn’t want anyone to judge me, nor did I want someone to intimately know the flaws in my relationship. Within minutes of meeting Kristi, my fears and concerns were overshadowed by her ability to make my husband and I feel at ease and comfortable. Her ability to be funny, human, and overall genuinely caring made for a very successful relationship. We continue to utilize the skills she taught us and look forward to our sessions which are now just monthly.
Kristi Newhouse is an amazing person. She is extremely positive and always happy. She has helped me through some tough times. She takes the time to listen to me and shows her compassion. I know meeting her was the best thing that ever happened to me. I got slightly derailed in life and Kristi got me back on the right track. She is a beautiful woman all around and I owe her so much. I strongly recommend Kristi for anyone that just needs for someone to talk and listen to them. She is an amazing individual.
Sometimes as adults we get stuck. Stuck in bad habits, stuck In a career, stuck in ourselves, stuck in life. It takes a non judgemental view, a truly caring person, a person who you can be just you with to give that push in life to move you out of the “stuck” position. Kristi truly by far has given me the motivation by helping me see who I truly want to be and has given me the tools to be that person. If you need guidance from a professional… she’s the one. She is truly amazing.

I began my career as an in-home therapist providing therapy for children and their families, which led into a Program Coordinator and then Director of Programs position, in which I was responsible for all of the day to day clinical operations. Currently, I have an established private practice in Cape Coral, Florida. I work with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, anger management, grief, trauma and everyday life stressors including relationship and work issues.
In light of the recent tragic events, particularly hitting close to home for my family and I, including the Cape Coral shootings that occurred last Sunday night, and one week later, the Orlando shooting which just happened this past weekend, it sparked me to want to write. When things happen;…
I will be 40 in less than a year. I would be lying if I said that I always understood the hype about turning the big 40. I remember reading blogs, posts and stories of women who wrote about their “turning 40 thoughts” and I never gave it another thought….
Can you RALLY? Rally is defined as “recover or cause to recover in health, spirits, or poise.” When clients come into my office, many of them feel defeated in one sense or another. Whether it is the parent with the challenging toddler, or the parent of the teen who seems…
I will disappoint you. I may even disappoint you more than once. Inevitably, you will disappoint me. For me, disappointment is one of life’s most uncomfortable feelings. It’s complex and stirs up other emotions such as anger, hurt, sadness and probably many others too subtle to identify. Sometimes, the other…
